Privacy and website measurement

The form saves your name, email address, and message so I can respond. It also saves a submission reference and available source information, such as the page you first visited, referring website, and campaign labels. Please don't include confidential documents or sensitive personal information in the message.

The message is stored on the server and a notification is sent to my inbox through an email provider. If sending fails, the notification is retried. A submission reference prevents an ordinary browser retry from creating the same inquiry twice.

The site uses self-hosted Umami analytics and Cloudflare measurement. They help me understand page visits, referring websites, device and browser categories, interactions, and loading performance. Basic error categories and failing resource paths help me find broken features. The analytics added to this site doesn't record the text you type into the form.

This site uses browser session storage to remember the first landing page and campaign source as you move between pages in a tab. It doesn't use an advertising identifier for this. You can block analytics through your browser; the inquiry form works independently of analytics.

Inquiry records and related business correspondence are kept for follow-up and business records. There isn't an automatic deletion schedule for inquiries at present. Older inquiry records may include the submitting IP address; new inquiry records don't store it. The server still uses an IP address temporarily to limit repeated form submissions, and hosting providers may maintain request logs.
